Oh well.
I'll tell you what I like about you.
Just kidding.
Im going to tell you what I like about us; that being Allison and I (yes, I do know my grammar)
This is actually what I love about us.
So when I talk to allison; it doesn't matter if it's on skype or we are texting or in her car or bedroom or watching a football game or in a facebook message, it does not matter. Anyhow, when I talk with alleeson I skip all the big stuff. The stuff I would be aching to tell everyone else. And do you know why? Cause she probably already knows it. Either I already told her, or she just knows. So we skip all the big stuff. And then we can spend hours talking about really silly and not important things - which no one else would everc are enough to talk about.
I tell alleeson about things that are completely insignificant compared to what I would tell others, because I know this "other" would not care at all.
So that's it. We skip all the big stuff!

russekort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So during the whole Russ-celebration the Russ has CARDS (link here)
They usually have a silly photo on them, and stupid jokes, often about rasism or sex. Kids would chase a russ for hours just to get his/her card. So while you're a kid they are nothing but items you collect. Every russ orders/makes his/her own russ-card, and can order as many as they want - usually around 300 or so.

So while paying for my russ-supplymenst, I started thinking of the making of my russ-card. I do not know what jokes to put on it, and neither what picture(any suggestions? let me know). I have _ABSOLUTELY_ no idea.
Anyhow, I'll get back to the picture some other time; right now I'm focusing on the jokes. So here are (so far) my options: (they are in Norwegian, I'll try to translate them into making-sense. Although, I would LOVE to have a quote/joke in english on my card. Again; suggestions? please let me know)
I used to be short and cute, and I still am
// I would do anything to do nothing (??)
To me, even "a little late" is too soon
// I've always wanted to do homework, but this is the girl who could control herself.
I'm not who I used to be, but I never have been
  • Menstration is a bloody waste of fucking time (mmmmaaaybe a not as appropriate? Still like it though)

I also have two others in mind.
    They are:
    1. “Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”
(this one I posted on my blog a while ago)

    2. "Where are we going?" Pooh asked.
    "Nowhere" Christopher Robin answered.
So they began going there/ and that's where they went

Both of these are probably, maybe, my favorite quotes of all time and might be just a little bit too "serious" or "cute" or "meaningful"(to me) or whatever to put on my russ-card.
    What do you think?

i'm weird 'cause i hate goodbyes

Believe me or not, but I was actually going somewhere with posting this song.
It's weird how I both like(not love) and hate(not dislike) this song(which means my negative feelings towards it are stronger than the positive ones)
And even if I hate to admit it; this is, probably, the song of my exchange. Simply because it became super popular in no time and was played everywhere all the time (especially on z93).

1. Nan, my 2nd hostmom, took me and her twin-daughters (kelsey&jessie, 22yrs) to Rochester to go shopping. I think this was in November. While they were looking for Christmas gifts and sweatshirts I was looking for a swimsuit I could take with me to Florida. Which was a really hard thing to find in November by the way... Anyhow, on our way back to la cross we stopped in la crescent to buy apples, of course, and while nan went inside the rest of us stayed in the car. And guess what song came on the radio? Oh yes. And Jessie, in particular, expressed her hatered towards this song. And we laughed and talked about spaceships and aliens for the rest of the car ride.

2. I have 8 days left in the US. I am in grand rapids, Michigan, waiting to go on stage with the "singing ambassadors" in front of thousands and thousands of people from all over the world. On stage there is a girl doing the signlanguage to fireflies. And as an introduction to her performance we got to hear the story of how she learned sign language, during her (rotary) exchange, of course. And as she gets done telling, and the music starts to play the audience is speechless and in complete awe of her achievements. And no one has ever gotten applauded that hard before.

It also reminds me of riding with Jerry to school, walking from one class to another class, getting dressed in the morning in savannahs basement, pretending to do homework with savannah, drivin to footballgames with Allison, riding with Elisabeth to soccer practice, taking pictures for photography class.....
And this is why I HAVE to like this song, even though I hate it.
Because it is a part of something so great I can't even explain it.
